AVATAR size mixup

OK, so I have linked my AVATAR from Photobucket and according to Photobucket its like 96x61 and 6k. Then when I see it on a posting its like 290x190 something and now its over 10k and its to large. I've taken it off till I can sort this out.

Any ideas?
