I don't see why, if you had the time, you couldn't get it... but in all honesty, why are you bringing up the possibility of 'how much will it cost'? That's like painting yourself red and asking to be lynched by most people here...

I now know how we can get rid of these useless posts and all of the spam.

The registration question should be "Should you go out and buy a PPC"

Two Idiots one stone

I could be wrong, but I think he's asking if you can get a Type Rating for a C90A.

I could be wrong again, but I think the answer is no because it's not a two crew aircraft and it's not high performance.

Cost to have a Type rating added to your licence is $30, I beleive.

Any 90 series king air does not require a type rating and will not be endorsed on your license. You could be captain of one with only a cpl though.

Almost correct, Endless...

the C90F (also a member of the BE90 family) is considered a "High Performance" aircraft, and would require a type on the license. Sooo... what does that mean? If you have the proper paperwork, and deliver it to TC with the $30 fee, we will put the BE90 type on your license.

When you look up the type on the Aircraft Type Designations it shows required crew as "1*"... this indicates that some models of this type may be high performance, and would require a type on the license for this model.

TC Guy...is not a PPL good only to 4000 pounds...over which a type rating would be required? Or has this changed....haven't seen an actual PPL for a while?

Doc... that is very old school... we now have blanket type endorsements that are valid for:

"All single-pilot, single-engine land aeroplanes excluding high performance"

This means that any type that does not meet the above criteria must be typed on the license.

Back in the 80's (and possibly before then) it was based upon weight. That went the way of the dodo bird. :)
