And what is with that $20 500 bond for the Do328 you dont even make that in a year when you consider thestarting wage 22500 gross, whats that after taxes 15000. flippin burgers pays you better. And you still get to wear a hat. So what if it is an Airline the owners are getting rich off you poor suckers for thinking its a great place to work and not thinking of it as a career cause honestly how the hell can one person live off that salary let alone a family, and coinsidently your below the canadian poverty line in your area. But hey if your happy.

I am happy Chief, thank you for your concern. Unfortuneatly you don't sound very happy and there's not much advice I can give you. It appears you are a very simple man, with simplified arguments and comparisons....u are having a hard time seeing the big picture. Keep plugging away on that 152, study hard, and maybe consult the spirits a few more times, but make sure you ask the right questions. [/quote]

I am not trying to side with anyone, but rezassasain has a point where he talks about making a living in some of these places. Don't get me wrong, I'd go to any of them in an instant...but I don't have kids and wife with me to drag along....luckly, not yet. But I think some of you are forgeting, that NOT everyone is starting this career at 18, but at a much later stage....
now, I'll let you boys continue with your testosteron-fueled conversation

Fcku you've got a memory problem partner, must be from all that garbage you've been smokin on the reserve. If you're so proud of that big airplane you're flyin lets hear the detailz and how much more superior it is to CMA.good luck with your ramp job and keep the premium coming
WOW, i'm overwhelmed, u are an allstar. I'm so impressed I almost feel insignificant telling you the airplane I fly is 86 times heaver than a 152. WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!the a/c i fly wieghs 36 times that of a 150
If you've got such a rewarding job, and you're flying such a HUGE aircraft, why are u so concerned with bad mouthing CMA? Did they turn u down after an interview?
CMA doesn't have a training bond for the 1900. And I'll agree the SALARY for an F/O isn't the greatest but come on people...do some homework and get the facts and THINK before struggle to analyze things. I worked at CMA and it was one of the best jobs I had in aviation. I worked maybe 10 days a month...some days lasted 3 hours, some days lasted 12. 10 DAYS!!! I had plenty of time to aquire other income....not to mention the tax free expenses I was gettting.
Life at CMA was great, the flying was awesome, and my collegues were top notch. I had no problem living in YVR on my CMA salary. Now maybe some of you who have a problem handling your finances might find it difficult, but that's your problem. And if you're starting out in this industry with a wife and kids at a later stage in your life....nobody owes you any favors for choosing that life, that's your decision and you start out at the bottom like everybody else...like every other industry.
For anyone who has a positive attitude don't listen to these primates opinions regarding CMA. It is a great company, with great people and you WILL progress to the airlines after your tenure there. It is a well respected company and a great lifestyle.
Oh Premium, your bullsh*t is off the clock. Take a pill, or go out get drunk, or file your prop, but give us all a break and stay away from the keyboard, you're making people puke all over the world.
"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
Hey bro...just telling it how it is, you don't like it, i don't give a shit. There are lots of people out their that want the facts though and not rumour and meaningless opinions. I know when I was starting out flying i was looking for experienced advice, and not negative bullshit from some asshole who is pissed off at the world cuz he couldn't make it and is still flyin a turboprop at 50 years old. I will go out and get drunk tonight 4 sure...with your old lady...and make her puke...as she gags on my CKco....biatch.
