Saw the A380 yesterday
I was arriving into Hong Kong last night from Singapore, and while we were taxiing to our gate, I saw an airplane that caught my eye. At first, I thought, only the Russians could make such an ugly airplane, what is it? Then I realized it was the A380. The Captain I was with made a PA telling the passengers about it. Its big, don't get me wrong, but boy is it ugly. It was parked next to a 744 and it is definitely bigger, but it lacks style and sex appeal. It was interesting seeing a different wide body as opposed to all the usual suspects. Hope some of you guys make it out to YVR to see it.
Cheers!!
Cheers!!

The A380 has as much sex appeal as this new Boeing 747 LCF that was in Moses Lake todayBoeing Driver wrote: but it lacks style and sex appeal.

B747 LCF
Wow... What a pretty bird. I wonder if the tail buttons up using quarter turn dzus studs (for easy access).
A380 - Seems scary to have 500 + people packed into one shiney aluminum tube. I'd say it's a security & logistical nightmare.

747-8 , wow... Very impressive that a aircraft could carry the equivalent to a lot of small Canadian Villages. I bet the Wright Bros. are spinning in their graves if they could ever see aviation as it is today. Back then the task was to get your own ass off the ground. Now it is getting a million pounds off the ground. Good grief...
By the way, what is the Max. Gross weight for the Airbus 380 and the Boeing 747-8 ?
What is the largest Gross Weight Aircraft ever?
