WJ mins

Anyone know how tight WJ is on the 1000 PIC requirement.. If someone were to have a bunch of other relevant experience, ATPL etc. but just short in the PIC column is there a shot at the job.. It's all supply and demand obviously but curious if anyone has heard of any hiring on with less than the grande.

I doubt it man. There's still lots of experience coming in the door, and besides, I don't think INSURANCE will allow a captain upgrade with less than the magic number. INSURANCE companies is the brick wall guys usually hit when starting out in this career, and they never go away... always there in the background.... waiting....

I gotta stop reading The Dark Tower series... :P

Understandable, heard that the 3-4K TT is the reasonable number but just getting into the particulars.. curious if it has happened at all for anyone shy on the pic but maybe with a whack of jet or transport category experience etc. Wasnt sure if those numbers are hard tuned for insurance purposes or whatnot. How about typical hires over at AC...

There are some new hires at AC that have not been PIC since there CPL training. As for WJ, not sure. I gather WJ is getting and hiring some high time drivers.

I'm pretty sure Jazz just hired a guy with no turbine time... shows we're all getting to the bottom of the barrel :shock: .
