The End of the Turboprop Airliner
As no new short-haul commuter turboprop airliners are on the drawing boards, will 2007 be the last production year for the type?

I'm not sure I understand your question, but the Q 400 is selling like hot cakes for Bombardier and I see production going for quite some time. There are also rumors of a Dash 9. Many operators are realizing the value of these airplanes as they are much cheaper to operate than their jet equivalent and only marginally slower on regional sectors.
Cheers!!!
Cheers!!!

Other than Bombardier, who is building a turboprop airliner?
Although the Twin Otter is a different category of aircraft, many of us in the business thought it would be put back in production, but no. With the proliferation of regional jets, I wonder if a new airframe is truly on the horizon. A "Dash-9" does sound intriguing.

Embraer is still offering their EMB 120 for sale. Only a 20 seater but they had over 300 firm orders. In August 2006 a total of 208 EMB 120 aircraft were in airline service around the world. http://www.embraer.com/english/content/ ... irm_orders

No I don't. The only two registered in Canada at present belong to P&W and Aviation Starlink. The additional 3 do not appear in Transport Canada's data base and may represent aircraft not yet delivered or perhaps delivered and sold to new owners outside of Canada. The EMB data is dated 2003 and I suspect shows mostly delivered vs outstanding orders.gr8_2_av8 wrote:Any idea who the Canadian customer is?
