Whats up withVoyageur

Post by onfinal »

I applied recieved a call back asked some serious questions and politely turned them down now if more of us would do this what do you think will happen ?They might just might get it, we as pilots are worth alot more. i am flying a medium twin getting more than a senior captain at jazz this is not an accident this is what pilots are worth. If you settle for less you bring us all down so please when you say its just a stepping stone rememember other people follow behind you, if we all stopped I wouldn't have to take a 50,000.00 yr pay cut to go to the next level .Short term pain for long term pain been in aviation for 13yrs and I am frankly tired of all the short term pain. So think when you take your next job remember if you have to justifiy it you are more than likely undervaluing yourself this effects more than you,it effects an industry!

Keep the dirty side down!

Onfinal. I'd really like to know where you can make 100k a year flying a medium twin. (I'm assuming B-1900 size?) I'm all for paying pilots more but I find it hard believe that a company flying medium twins can pay its guys that kind of money and still be competitive.

Absolutely true. Sad sad sad isn't it?
Wonder if MOH and MNR know what the captains are paid for flying their patients and clients. I know occasionally they fly some high up politicians. Wonder what they would think if they realized how poorly paid the crew is that they have trusted their lives with. Wonder!
Because they might otherwise crash in order to protest their poor pay? Aren't the pilots the first ones to arrive at the crash site?

Pilots are worth whatever they're willing to fly for.

BC FLyer

Perimeter pays 85G for a medivac capt. week on, week off. Do a little sked flying on your week off and 100 G comes quick.

Ps they have annhilated their competion. Gotten 2 dash 8 and still cant keep up. Over 100 pilots on staff. You pay shit wages and you generally get shit employee attitudes which in the long run costs money
