from what i remember...

$22/hr for ame, paid twice monthly and they have profit sharing. benefits after 3 months. two weeks vacation, 9 stat days, 6 months probation. if you quit before two years you need to buy your uniforms, bond for the airplane is two years/$6000.

an absolute fantastic group of ppl to work with...ppl in the office are great, ppl on the floor are great. only thing that kept me away was the pay...

A little off topic, but I will be flying on Porter soon and I have a couple of questions. What are the mins for the new approach to 26 and if you can't get into YTZ do you use YYZ as the Alt? Also, where do you drop off the pax at YYZ. Thanks for any info.

In the event that Porter diverts to YYZ, the plane parks at the Skyservice FBO and all pax and bags are bussed downtown.

Porter Package

Post by 1000tolevel »

YWG,

$72k/yr for CA, don't know about F/O. 10 or 11 GDO's/month. No benefits yet as far as Interline of Jumpseat. But all the other standard stuff is included (medical, insurance, etc...) Reserve shifts are integrated in flying line. Reserve callout is like 1 hr. (Not a lot for Downtown TO).

Training agreement is (this is not a training bond, you don't borrow the money yourself, it just means that if you leave before the two year period, you pay the pro-rated balance) $20k over 2 years or $10k if you're already rated on the Dash. Plus a $3k extra for the uniform over 2 years as well.

Those were the numbers as of October, they might have changed since they have a hard time finding pilots.

They sound like a very good bunch of people from what I saw at the interview. And if the rumour about the whole thing being a tease for Air Canada to buy them out isn't true, then it sure sounds like a good gig.
