i just graduated and from all the companies that came looking, i know pacific coastal was desperate, they came in asking who wanted to work for them, cascade aerospace in abbotsford (1hr out of Vancouver) is hiring, as well as carson air.

If you are into helicopters, Heli One (CHC) is doing alot of hiring since they are opening a new hanger in boundary bay soon which is huge.

check http://www.amejobs.ca they have tons of postings.

I think you can add cascade to the "desperate" club too.
They have trouble attracting even contractors, except for the locals.
As long as you can get get thru the pee test, it might be worth your while until something better comes up. No one seems to like it there.
Don't remember hearing much about pasco, except for the annual layoffs in the fall. Pay 3 years ago was very average from what I remember. Don't know if its any better today.
Carson has some good AME's at yvr, and I last I spoke to them, they really were in need more experienced AME's. If you can handle the shift, I'd recommend them at yvr, or even yyc. Company is really good on the maintenance side also. Not scared to spend money on maintenance and also a good DOM in place. Don't know what kind of pay they're offereing.
Check em out.
