The program is very solid in Windows, and from what little I've seen, the same goes for the Mac version. I've tried the demo on a Mac Pro a few weeks ago and it ran very well. (In case you didn't know yet, X-Plane is developed on Macs.)

Did you have any more precise questions regarding X-Plane and the Mac?
