Doesn't anyone research a company BEFORE applying?

That's academic chick, anybody that cant even spell the company name in the subject line isn't likely to get hired there anyways....Chickaddd wrote:Doesn't anyone research a company BEFORE applying?

I hate to do this but I will because it pisses me off.
I was contacted for an interwiew after specifically applying for a Dash 8 position they recently advertised.
I have the qualifications so I applied and clearly put that in my subject.
I emailed back and told them when I was available etc and asked about the bond framework and I also asked about what aircraft I was being interviewed for (even though I responded to a Dash 8 add).
They did not answer any questions about the bond at all and I was told that they were not able to tell me what I would end up flying as it was up to the Chief Pilot to review my interview performance to determine what I would be best suited for.
Buyer beware as they say.......

Recently a guy I know quit our company as a captain to go to voyageur for the dash 8 in africa. When hired there they told him that is what he got.
Well he quits and gets there they than tell him that there is no more position but they could make room for him right seat on the king air.
MMMMM, shady says sally. I'd say so
