class 3 ifr work

Post by floats4fun »

Hi, very cool website here. I just finished my group 3 ifr rating. Is there any/many jobs for people with low-time, a commercial and a group 3 ifr? opinions welcome.

Thanks Shady McSly for posting, I inquired to an airline in Northern Ontario (Wasaya I think) and they said they tend to hire guys who are multi-instrument rated. That is the reason I posted, are all like this? Are there many places who would take a person with a group 3, like you mentioned as a baggage person then put them in an aircraft? I know there are alot of places I bet with planes like PC-12's and Cessna Caravans. I hope all don't have a multi-engine requirement :? opinions welcome.

Try NAC Air in thunder bay/sioux lookout. The have lots of PC-12's, and they hire low timers.

good luck, but I would really recommend gettting the multi IFR. you really limit yourself without it.

cheers

I'd also recomend checking out the single pilot IFR requirements. If you are low time, you might have a hard time meeitng them. Some single engine IFR machines are flown single pilot, like the Caravan. Just a thought
