Trade Winds ... can anyone help ?

Post by Zagarino »

Guys some friends of mine are thinking of moving east coast to PEI for flight training.. so i was helping out by searching for flying schools there...

I was looking at this website and i was wondering if anyone has any information on the school, any comments, suggestions...
Gotta get back to them with info tonight so any effort in the coming hours/tonight is highly appreciated ...& is it the only flying school in PEI...?

Thanks,

I'm just finishing up my PPL at tradewinds and I would recommend them.
The chief instructor, Dave, has lots of experience and is a easy guy to get along with. Very knowledgable and patient.

They have a 172, a 150, and a twin, Marc (the owner) also has a float 172 and offers instructions on it as well. The flying around the island is beautiful!

Ch'town is a great place to live, about 40 thousand people. It has everything that you need, most of the big box stores etc, 15 minutes from the beach.

You can get a one bedroom apt for around $400 a month, two bedroom for $500, there is a public transit system but I'm not sure if it goes to the airport, (which is located only a couple of miles from downtown). Jobs are of the minumum wage type but with some type of computer experience you can usually get a job at one of the local call center at $10 or more per hour.

I am very interested in this school as well. One thing I have noticed.. Most of the positive feed back about this school is from users who had only one or two post. Does that mean they are all from there? Could anyone else provide some information?

I'm so sorry but it is a lot of money.. and a commitment to leave everything and move to PEI. As much as I would like to.. At the same time I want to be sure about them.

I have spoken to two gentlemen there and they both seemed very very very nice!
