It's better to break ground and head into the wind than to break wind and head into the ground.

"Central delay facility"
A typicalresponse from the forum yet again! You guys would complain if it was too sunny out when the opportunity presents itself.
If you think the de-icing facility is shit make a suggestion as to how efficiency can be improved. Hey I know! Don't fook'in schedule your departure with the 100 other aircraft wanting the same departure slot. Oh, doesn't quite work for you... then sit on your ass, shut up and let everyone do their job. TIME TO SPARE, GO BY AIR.
When de-icing operations are at maximum capacity name me ONE busy airport without delays?
Don't like the delay? Bypass the pad and taxi out. Might be the last time you EVER complain....CAPICHE!!!

IFRATC hit the nail on the head. The rest of you just wanna find something to complain about and thus have no clue of the real aviation world.

Get educated and then post your comments boys.

Pilots that complain about De-icing crews taking too long normally get weeded out by Darwin before becoming an ATPL pilot, but a few of them make it through the gaps. The majority of Jet pilots know better than to rush something like de-icing.

I can understand foolish delays like no crews, lack of staff, broken equipment etc etc... but guys that say things like:

"Ahh Iceman are we almost done here?" or comments later on about

"I can't believe they sprayed 200 litres!!!!"

Finally I think that the majority of pilots agree with the rampies. That is great to hear
