Maybe someone out there had a successful trip last year that was based from the west coast
I would like to do this trip in 5ish days I have no problems with long drive nights a buddy or two may be coming just to get away from home for a couple days
Where should I hit anyone have some ideas of the regular places and then maybe a couple off the beaten trail

I would go straight across to YYC - You meet Contrails for an F/O with 500 hours and there are a bunch of operators hiring.
Through YEG hit Alta Flights. I'd try those guys east of YEG that do the wildlife tracking, I can't remember the company now but they have a twin, a tail dragger and a 206 I think...
Try Alberta Central Airways in YLB. Northern Air and Peace Air in YPE.
Try YMM too but that's a long road with nothing else on it if you don't have much time...
Go see NT Air in YXS on your way back down, maybe even try Cariboo in YXJ - the CP's in YYC but you never know...
Hit the TC website and the PCC site and print out everything about every operator there's a remote chance of passing on your trip... good to know what they operate and who the cp/ops man is before you walk into the office - and make sure your buddies know that when you get hired they're on their own for a ride home...
Decide if you'll accept a ramp job too because although you could get a flying job if you worked it right you will get offered a ramp job from some of these operators...

Try Alberta Central Airways in YLB.
That's Allison Air Service.
Each Alberta Central base hires independently, so don't forget Athabasca and Grande Prairie as well.

If you've got a laptop... You can stea signal from The source, Best buy and a couple others as you sit in the parkin lots
Keep us avcan folk updated and check on the different operations you might find along the way.

Looove that Caddie! Lose the blue lights and the decals and what a great sled. Hell, if you drove up to my place in that thing, I'd hire you, but if I was to let you fly my stuff, you'd need to leave the keys!
"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
