Nice to hear that the crew and passengers were fighting back, too bad they didn't kill the SOB when they had to the chance :smt075

I guess in this day and age being proactive is the best way to fight back...

" shortly after it took off from Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, "
What kind of security do you think they had in Nouakchott?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

For my fellow dumb guys...my new favourite word:
subterfuge
1. A deceptive device or stratagem or 2. From Latin subterfugere to escape, evade, from subter- secretly (from subter underneath; akin to Latin sub under) + fugere to flee

I have spent some time in these parts, flown on that airline, and the security is dismal at best, and for a few US dollars you could probably get anything you wanted on board.. For a few dollars i never did have to go through customs.. and get my passport stamped
good thinking though on the crews behalf.

The same kind that they have in northern alberta.... which I've read lately is perfectly safe!
