AVATARS...should I change mine?

Post by Doc »

Is my avatar offensive? I got a complaint about it. Now, I don't mind changing it for something a little less offensive(like a puppy)but I don't think it's that bad. So, I'm asking you.....the deviants, er, denizens of the board. Should Doc change his avatar?
Would really like to hear from some of the girls.
And, why?

I can't tell if it's offensive or not. That woman's breasts are in the way so I can't see it.

Picture does not IMHO step over any boundary. You should not have to change it.

Doc, just to even the playing field we need one of the female posters to use a nude of John Holmes as her Avatar.

Doc;

You may find this mildy amusing but as a moderator you lose any credibility with your rants, flaming and failure to appreciate that other people visit this forum. What about the women pilots and engineers who we should hear more of, yet who probably view this childish behaviour as good reason to stay as far away as possible. Maybe that is why they have a private forum, where they don't have to put up with this nonsense.

You purposely inflame these younger guys with your "wise old owl" bullshit and on the other hand castrate the Seneca grads for being something other than a part of your grand fraternity.

I would normally address this in a PM but seeing as you have put it out there, I will answer in kind, in the hopes that the other moderators might see that we need to get some common sense and some measure of maturity back to this forum. I am sure Widow's hopes that some of the regulatory people and politicians who may read this forum are a bit dashed when she realizes that this is the trash they are going to read.

I think Doc does a good job of inserting some humor into this forum. If any male cannot appreciate the beauty of the female form then he chose the wrong profession. I believe most women would enjoy an evening of Chippendale type entertainment, even though the rules of polite society says they shouldn't. As for the college crowd, getting into aviation is like getting into a frat house. Sometimes it involves a little hazing.

If by offended you mean "turned on," then yes, I am extremely "offended" by both the avatars. I find the second one more "offensive" as well.

carholme....would that be...you fine my old avatar offensive? Because, in case you flunked English, that was the question? I don't remember "castrating" anybody? Am I a "wise old owl"? I don't know. You tell me. What exactly did I "put out there"?? A simple question. And, what would it have to do with "Widow's hopes"??? You're on drugs, right?
I won't bother reading any more of your posts. Do me the same honor.

I am totally offended that I didn't get to see the first avatar so I could give my input before it was so flagrantly changed.

Shame on you Doc

As per Hazatude's suggestion it's "time." I hope you're right

Doc, lets find you a nice cute avatar of a happy looking gnome with no hair and glasses, I think that would be the best avatar for you my friend.

Or you could just use a self portrait, that works too

Cheers

It's not Ms. Bell. It's an English lass. I have many more of her, but that's the only one I can use....if you follow my drift.
