After all the bullshit, paperwork, pax on board, door closed.................and throttling up for takeoff. Or in a glider-if I could do that for a living, I would...................
If we could record all the above scenarios in a narrative sort of way , it would really make for an interesting book. Everyone has read "Fate is the Hunter"?
Early morning. Mist just rising off the lakes. Dead calm. The aircraft wound out, doing 210 kts. Maybe twenty-five feet off the water. Maybe. The two dudes in the small boat cant hear me coming. They're trying to catch breakfast. It's all over before they can react. The perfect buzz job! YEEEEEHAAAAA!
Showing up at the airport/dock at dawn and preflighting in the cool air as the mist burns off in the sunshine, knowing you've got a full, awesome day of flying ahead of you.

STL
Also not shown is you puking and pissing out your ass at the same time because you had a "bad" one.....
I think the best part's the last leg home, finish the paperwork early, enjoy the often smoothe evening air, watch a sunset, hold the other pilot's hand.....
I love looking down on the airliners while we pass them in the CLIMB!
I love it when ATC asks, "How FAST are you going???"...and the suprised response, "You need to slow to .80, you are following Air Canada"
My favourite part of flight is sitting back while in cruise, having the flight attendant ask me what I want to drink, and knowing Im boeing south, not having to worry about shit for two weeks. Having said that My least favourite part is boeing north.

You've brought a smile to my face. Thats what its all about.
Always kinda liked waiting out the weather when we had to in the Maldives.....this is an abandoned island that they were thinking of developing into a resort...about 250nm north of Male on a typical NE monsoon season day minus the storm winds and swell of course!

How does one abandon an island? To do that, wouldn't you have to make some kind of claim to it first and then leave it? Great pic by the way.

That is great if you are running long range at altitude but from YYZ to any NY/NJ airport, you are only as fast as the EMB ahead of you...
Airlines cruise to save money, Corporate cruises to save time...
