Georgian, here we go!

Hi,

now it's about 3 weeks I passed the interview and sim eval. with them, and still no news, no PFO. I think, I'm out. However, why they don't send me a PFO to say thank you (they are to busy, my ass...).

They call me 3 times to go down for interview and sim. eval. I spend time and money for nothing. Apparently, they looking for guys again. What the F**************. Sorry, I'm upset!

How can I recommanded this company to my friends. Most of you guys says it's a gret company. Excuses-me, but a company like Georgian as far as concerned have no respect for pilots and futur pilots.

How many guys are in the same situation?

Yes, give a polite call. Things are a little crazy right now with many moving on to greater things and they do misplace files from time to time.

How did your sim eval go? Do you think you did well? It can be frustarting when you thought you did well and they don't call back. Keep your head high and don't get discouraged. Just look at it as a learning experience for a larger airline.

If the gang at Georgian is so busy as to not answer phone calls, there is little likelihood of them having the time to be reading this site.

However, posting a rude letter here like John did shows a definite lack of judgement and a profound lack of understanding of the hiring process. The posting would definitely have raised red flags for me.

Most of the larger companies are scrambling to meet staffing targets for a looming busy summer - the fact that right now we are in demand means that in most cases, the companies are not prepared for the pressure of these unusual conditions. It usually takes two to three weeks for an organized company with an HR department to sort through the interviews and make a decision - all bets are off with these conditions.

I would suggest that you just take a pill and keep looking. If you can stay away from your computer for a while, you might even find something better.

Yeah, yeah...and if they called you an hour from now to offer you a job would you tell them this? No, you'd say "of course I'll take the job!" and off you'd go to live in poverty in the t-dot. Oh how quickly the frustration gets tossed aside and repressed for a rainy day.

What a bunch of d!ckheads, blasting the guy on his language skills, when it's obvious that it isn't his first language. How many of you are competent in colloquial, written french?

P'raps the language might have been a little strong, but give the guy a break - it's been three weeks, and he'd like some sort of answer - yes, no, still making our minds up.

John, dude, simmer down. I'm sure that it's a great place to work, once they get you going. Be patient - good things come to those who wait. And, if, on the off chance that they are screwing you around, do you really want to work there?

Three weeks is nothing. It can take 4 MONTHS or more for Air Canada to get back to people. Relax and wait it out. If its meant to be it will be...
