80 hour ground school.
How long ago did the 80 hour requirement get put in to law. I was just on the TC website and 421.30 states 80h now.
Does anyone know what the new subject areas are, that should be covered under the additional 40 hours of ground school training? When I look at Transport's website, all I see is:

Self study counts; but it must be signed off in your PTR by your instructor so you should talk to them about what they are looking for as a means of keeping track of your hours. Some instructors wont do this because they are signing purly on your word, and they have no way of knowing exactly how many hrs you did.Of the 80hrs required does it all have to be learnt from a school or can some of it be self taught
