If you're looking for a ground job, I'd take a drive down to the hangar and try and find the CP (Brian St. Germain). He should be able to introduce you to the folks that do the hiring for the ground positions, plus you'll have met the CP, which is always good.

Lemme know how your search goes Sqwak, I'm lookin at getting into NAC as well. Have some family in Thuder Bay that would make the move from K-W much easier.

Dumb question...maybe not....would NAC hire a guy with a single engine IFR? Lets say, a float driver with 1500 hours CPL and a single IFR?

I can't speak for those doing the hiring, but seeing as all the direct-entry spots are for the PC-12, I'd say yes you could get hired with a group 3 IFR. Many ramp rats have only had their group 3 when they started flying and it has never been a problem.

Isn't that group 3 thing like the special olympics? Buck up and get the real thing!

If you wanted to fly a Caravan, or a PC12, why would you go waste your money learning to fly a Travel Air? What would be the point?

To only limit yourself to flying something like a PC or a Caravan you mean? With such good times and great hiring right now, why would you leave yourself short? It's not like buying a Navajo ticket or anything, it's just a little multi time which in the long run opens way more doors.
