Can you tell me how Kyoto and carbon taxes will reduce global warming?
Hey DD, can you tell me where I mentioned Kyoto?

Waste of taxes? Probably. There are probably much better ways to reduce emissions without destroying the economy.

Do nothing for the environment? I disagree. Any type of regulation, no matter how clumsy it may be, will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Any reduction in green house gazes, will in turn help the environment. Don't forget the Kyoto accord was seen only

However you are asking personal opinions on political subjects, which must not be confused with a scientific debate that has nothing to do with personal opinions. I truly hope that your denial of global warming is not based solely a conservative vs liberal government (left vs right) opinion clatter.

When did I deny global warming?

Ok now you have said kyoto and carbon taxes will reduce global warming so I ask again, how?

I am sorry, you did not deny global warming, you denied man made global warming. I am feeling generous tonight, and we've been delayed an extra night here so you are in luck, if you really want to know everything about Kyoto, and why Canada including 141 nations of the world agreed to it (using a scientific perspective, NOT a political one), I will make another post called "Why Kyoto?". It's another lengthy read, but if you make it through the read, you should haver a much better understanding. It will also better answer the professor's question (in case the other lengthy read: http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=28667 wasn't consice enough) on what happened in the last years leading to today in scientific research.
