How do you explain this?

Ok I am not a scientist, i don't have any sources, i can barely read let alone ponder the next 10,000 years of the earths environmental future, but what I have heard is that the earth does a normal trend of warming and cooling. Seeing as there is not as much ice as there used to be... I work in the north, yep the really far north where that old ice is... I'm going to have to go ahead and say we are in the warming part of the trend. Now having said that, are we as humans expediting the process due to pollution? Or is this normal? I guess we would have to ask that knuckle dragging, fur wearing, women clubbing, mouth breather, we call cavemen. Oh ya he's dead, or hiding in alabama somewhere reprocreating. What to do? Stop pollution entirely? Not going to happen, slow it down that would be good, cause it can't be bad. As for recycling my condoms cause they will affect the rest of the worlds weather a million years from now??? I think it a bit over kill. But what do I know. I'm just a tourist to this smelly planet.

Global warming may or may not be real, but smog, pollution and asthma etc. are. The point was made that people who care about the environment have to go to an extreme when making their point before people listen. This is bang on the point. It is absurd that there are 8 lanes of traffice going into Toronto and all are filled with one person to a car, or worse an SUV, for at least 5 days of the week. Southern Ontario is perfect for a rail system such as those in Japan and Europe.

The housing booms around Canada are fueled by large 2000-4000 square foot homes, many of which have open concept living areas with huge cubic areas to heat/cool.

I figure it is better to tackle the problem of pollution and our overconsumption than tackling global warming. Once the first one is under control the second will be much easier.
