I love the Tiger Cat and one of the highlights of my career was at the last Air Show I flew in in Europe low and behold if there in front of me where I was parked by the marshalers was the only Tiger Cat I ever saw close up." Cat....no Grumman Tiger Cat on your list? Got to be the coolest airplane I've ever seen. "
Spent the day with the pilot talking about those machines and was amazed at the air display he put on with it...
...simply an amazing airplane...
Oh, and he was an old geezer like me..........
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Tried to import a C123 Provider to run freight out of northern Ontario many years ago. Had four aircraft all lined up, and ready. The guys in TC just about "wet" themselves.....there was just NO way! Would have been the "end" of all the Hawkers and Daks in the area. I wonder if it was political?
Doc,
Another one in AZ is headed north as we speak for Delta Junction AK.
THe Gold prices seem to keep the freight moving and birds like this still have a mission.
In your case I am sure there was some back scratching going on. Too bad. They would have been a great addition to Canadas aviaition history.
Interesting fact on the C123.
I believe at #60,000 it can depart in 1750' without the jato units.
Smoke that in your pipe for awhile

LIR hate to burst your bubble, but you will have to scrap one of your previous A/C if you want a SR-71 and put an KC135 Stratotanker on your list instead. If you don't you will only have time for a circuit before all of your fuel leaks outs.LostinRotation wrote:1) Avrow Arrow without a doubt

I would also send my Luscombe in for a complete refresh and some extra HP.
