Shit call the youtube police too. Hopefully the wrong person doesn't go on youtube also. I'm pretty sure the dudes (who might get fired) in the video could care less since they are likely the ones who made it and they are the ones who likely posted it on youtube.

You should seek employment with the youtube police though I hear they were hiring. Check the job postings. Seriously, check it.

If the first reply didnt have to say the video should be taken down then all would be fine!

Back to the topic though, I think it's pretty sweet!

I watched the video. Thing is the guy who made it is using footage that isn't his. Not to sure if the guy who shot the footage (i was in the airplane for a few of the shots so i know who shot it) would appreciate it. If u are going to steal footage to make a video maybe its best to keep it at home and not post it all over the internet. Brutal

After reviewing the video, it could be for the purposes of taking off or landing- the way they were flying. And it wasn't in Canada, so Transport Canada couldn't really get that sticky about it. I'm not sure how the Borek bosses would like that kind of flying.

I'll still climb to 500' before turning out where possible and stay a little further away from water vessels, buildings and people- especially ones with video cameras.

Time to take my paranoia medicine.

I see nothing wrong with the video.

Who here can honestly say they haven't done this? I don't think there is a single pilot on this forum with over 500 hours that hasn't flown lower then that for reasons other then taking off or landing.

Anybody remember doing forced approach training and flown down to 10' above the field. I had an instructor who would stay quiet until the wheels were in the grass to see if we would flinch first. The only differance is there wasn't a camera filming us and then posting it for the world to see.

We can sit back and judge the pilots but we have all been there. We should support our peers not knock them down.

Whatever happened to.. "if ya don't have anything nice to say.. don't say anything at all!" ????

Flying low is not dangerous.. Not paying attention or being complacent about it IS. I'm sure the captains of those fine machines knew exactly what was going on

I agree and also suggest that we ban aerial application, fire bombing, low level pipe line inspection and of course low level inspection of eskers and other off airport landing areas.

All there would be left is that high risk few seconds when pilots have to judge when to level out for the landing before they smash into the earth.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

I spend most of my days well below 500ft.... who cares? If you know the environment you are flying in, and are aware of what you're doing, there's nothing wrong with it at all.

Some guys having a bit of fun, what's the big deal?

The individuals doing aerial application and such are trained to do so. Flying 10 ft above the water beside a boat, I don't know any companies that provides that training (I don't think MAT provides that training...). That is dangerous. If you want to screw around, not a problem. Don't put other people's life on the line and do it in your own airplane.
