Hey guys, got a job offer in YTH with Perimeter the other day. Was wondering if anyone had any pictures kicking around of the airport / aircraft or town. Lived in BC my entire live and am curious what the area looks like - I imagine it is much flatter
Only pic I found on a search was a native passed out infront of the CIBC!

Current FSS:

Part of the north apron. Manitoba Government hanger on the far right, behind the 215s, RCMP hanger next to the metro (used by Perimeter), Custom Helicopters behind that. Intersection of runways 14/32 and 05/23 is in the foreground.

Calm Air HS-748 short final for runway 23.

First snowfall of winter 2006. about 20cm of heavy wet shit, after being in the mid teens a week before.

Nocti-Lucent Cloud, June 2006. North apron can be seen at the bottom, the windsock is beside the intersection of taxiways Alpha, Charlie, and runway 05/23

View of the field from the FSS tower position(currently getting renovated)

Oh, and the ski hill. Look at that massive vertical:

Yes, that Nelson. He shot the video for me. Before I left Canada, I would have an aviation geek day at the house for all my flying buddies. We would rent a giant screen TV,watch videos of Oshkosh, Reno, etc and set up two PC's on the dining room table with fltsim. Beer and pizza completed the trick. Nelson M. knew of the event and went out with his video cam and a hand held radio tuned to FSS. Filmed about 2 hours of deps/arr for my party.mbav8r wrote:Hey bmc,
I have a couple photo albums from that winter, of course that was pre digital camera. Are you asking about Nelson M. Heir to the Calm Air empire?
If you know him, tell him the story and send me his email address.
