Canadian Job, US Licenses

Post by KingAirPIC »

Any info out there on Air Canada hiring US pilots? I am a dual citizen with US licenses. With the new US/Canada agreement to make the xfer of licenses easier I am curious to know if AC will interview US licensed pilots.

Yea, I'm wondering if it's necessary to write them first, before applying. I'd like to apply this coming week.

They want to see the conversions completed before application.

Would be like applying with the required times and everything done for the ATPL.. without writing.. You don't technically have the ability to fly for them without the exams done.

On a slightly different note here. If you hold a Canadian Commercial licence and you get your Multi/IFR in the States, can you automatically add this to your Canadian after the two 20 question writtens?

No. You still need to do the appropriate rides... at least it was that way in 2000.
