letter to re-apply at Jazz??

Post by magellan »

So I was told to take a hike a few weeks ago aka recieved a PFO letter and now my junkbox has 8 emails from Sonja Porter telling me and all past applicants to reapply. I'm not going to bother but I'm curious as to why they need to ask this of everyone. Did their computer system crash or did some office gerbil accidently erase all the applications?

8 e-mails ?! I got 3 here... (last time I had 3 views maybe it has to do with that)

I got a call from Jazz about 1 month after I withdrawled my application. I had a new job and wanted to get more MultiPIC time before applying anywhere else and didn't want Jazz to call before I get at least 500 MPIC. (personnal objective)... One of my friend did the same (removed his application) and was called from Jazz also...

So I said I was interested to go through the whole selection process but I was not in a hurry because I wanted to get more MPIC time... well, I haven't heard from them since...

What I am thinking about this e-mail is that maybe they want to see who is still interested to work at Jazz. So many people applied and a lot of them are no longer interested to work at Jazz. I know two guys that did the interview even if they were not interested in the job...

My idea is that they will know who is still interested to work if the pilots detail their experience as they require to do. Thats what I think but I do not know if that is the reason. Why not e-mail Mrs Porter ?

I think it's funny that they will PFO turbine captains, but hire 250 hour college grads...

at a recent CRM, a manager stated that they only now have 300 resumes on file with workopolis......I think that the company has reached a point whereby they have to go back to those they PFOed in the past.

Pay

Post by ginko »

I think when you do the number crunching, Jazz doesnt add up. Sure its a great company but, how are you supposed to make ends meet. Aviation brings dreams but, going from a great salary to collecting food stamps to having nothing is not great. Making this decision is hard but what is reality?
They cant find guys who are willing to take a pay cut that low! I am one of them......

Magellan, I'm sure it's a sore subject, but if you don't mind I'd like to know how long it took to get the PFO? I recently went through the interview and I walked outta there feeling like I choked. So badly, that I thought I would have a fed-exed PFO waiting for me when I got home.
PM if you like but I'm sure others would like to know.

I did my interview on a friday and got the call for sim on a wednesday. Did the Sim on a Friday and got the PFO in the mail the following friday. Some people have had to wait longer to find out though. Oddly enough I thought my interview sucked but that my sim went relatively well, go figure!

Thanks, did they check referrences before the call for sim?
Just wondering what order to expect things to happen in.

Anyone out there that didn't make it past the interview?

Edit: Re-read your last post, sounds like it's a guessing game
if your sim went well and your interview not so well, but they called for the sim anyhow. I guess if anyone knew the secret code, we would all be at Jazz or AC.

Why can't you wait Stratcat?? So you can tell them to PFO? If this is the case, then why did you even apply in the first place. I smell a big talker.

Does PFO stand for "Please F*ck Off" or is there a less offensive meaning I'm not seeing?
