Peace River is a small town, 8000 maybe. I dropped off a resume there when I was still in tech - five years ago. I drove around the town and wasn't all that impressed. I'm SURE it is not the worst place in the world to live but there are a lot that are better.
As for the company, there is a lot on here about them. If you look, you can probably get your own opinion......but then again, this is AVCAN.....I'm sure SOMEONE will give you there opinion of the company

"Peace" is an expression commonly used to describe not only the town of Peace River but also the large farming, oil patch and logging district commonly refered to as "Peace Country", anchored by the Peace River. I do not think Peace Air has a very big operation in Peace River, that is just where they started and they kept the name. Maybe the owner still lives there.
The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Peace River is ok. If you can handle being away from the city... YQU is only 2 hrs away and free flights to the city if your staff. The crew up there have a lot of fun and stick together despite the state of the company.
Although i think most of the people have quit or been layed off. The 703 maintenance is there, although i think it consists of 3ppl now due to no more PC12s. They take care of one PA31 and one C-210. The owner lives there and it's still head office. The staff was always good fun when I was there, stuck together like family... just go to the pub (theres only one) and you'll find peace air drinking away their $1500-1900 hehehe
