hours
Does anyone know where to buy cheap hours in western canada "Vancouver", type is not inportant Eg 152/150? I have a job lined up for next summer but need more hours to meet there minimums. I think buying block hours privately would be the most cost effective. If anyone owns an old 152 that just hovers 5 ft above the ground, thats what I'm looking for, at least for now! Well if anyone has any contacts or ideas I would appreciate all contributions.

One recommendation would be to contact all the small local flying clubs in places like Delta airpark, Boundary Bay, Fort Langley, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Chilliwack, Abbottsford and several others in the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island areas.
See if there is a monthly meeting you can speak up at, notice board you can post on, person that would be willing to ask around for you etc.
There are often private aircraft on a field that don't fly much where you can just pay for gas/expenses.
Another idea is to join COPA if you don't already belong. You can network through many sources via the COPA membership.
Contact The Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, or CASARA nearest you and see if you can volunteer.
Join/contact the EAA (experimental aircraft association) in your area and see if you can hook up with a member who has an aircraft.
If you are a girl you can join Pro'99's and or Canadian Women In Aviation and network with members to build hours.
Hopefully some of these ideas help....
Cheers,
Snoopy

Thanks for all the good ideas Snoopy, I appreciate your input.
Co-Joe Realise that this is not a poker game and I'm not a cheat. I've worked hard to be where I am and have the contacts I have. I'm not going to give up a job that I want just because I'm short of the minimiums.
