Provincial Aerospace

Post by vrrotate »

I see that provincial is looking for fo's and captains for the 200. Does anyone know if the stated fo requirements of 1750tt and 400 turbine are a hard contract requirement or is that just what they are hoping for?

Also anything else on the company you could tell me would be much appreciated. PM if you like!

Employers ask for what they would like to have, which is not necessary what they will hire for. Think about it and put yourself on the position of the employer, and you would have your answer.

These are firm hrs requirments as required by Department of Fisheries and Oceans. F/O's internally have to meet those requirements as well...unless something has changed recently.

Thanks for all of your replies. Fortunately and unfortunately I am not too far off of their minimums. I have always wanted to work for Provincial doing that fisheries work. It has always seemed pretty interesting to me. Are they often looking for 200 fo's on the charter side of things where they don't have the high minimums. Or is there some other way of getting on with them other airplanes etc. I have 1300tt, 200 turbine and a 200 PPC. Thanks

True but with a loophole in the requirements; as long as the company assess that an f/o with lower time is experienced enough even with lower time, they can get on. I've seen 1100-1200 hours guys get on.
