As a former chief pilot, I know people in general and pilots in particular can be either great or totally unreasonable. It is a challenge dealing with that.
Maybe the old chief pilot just got tired of dealing with shit pilots. It is a challenge dealing with that.
Maybe the old chief pilot got tired of the company not doing right by good pilots. It can be a challenge dealing with that.
Maybe the old chief pilot got tired of dealing with Transport. It is a challenge dealing with that.
Maybe new management can be challenging to deal with. A new accountant who was brought in to improve the bottom line has weird ideas and the chief pilot has to deal with that. It is a challenge dealing with that.
Stress is that uncontrollable urge to kick the living shit out of some asshole who needs it so desperately.
Stress comes for things you cannot control. As a pilot, you are in control and as a result there is less stress.
maybe the old chief pilot just needs a break from the stress.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Well the new norhtern CP is no surprise. He kissed everyones ass the first time he left and now he sleeps between the CP and the Ops Manager.

Not to mention he lives in TOON Town, and has no float or ski experience.

Ya whats up with that. A northern CP living in the south again. A few years back Transport said twa needed a northern CP because the guy down south was completely out of touch with his northern pilots. Maybe they should base the Newfie up in YSF.

Not only has the new Chief Pilot done his northern time, but he's a loyal TWA employee and a hard worker. He's not just working at the company to get some experience and then f'ing off. Give him a chance guys, i don't think the only point of avcanada is to get angry and cause conflict.

Just how is it you can be northern CP without float, ski, etc bush experience? How would he be able to do checkouts and know if his pilots know their stuff? Typical TW move. Man I'm glad I left there when I did.

so i guess that means you don't know who they hired for the job then... otherwise you might actually have something with a hint of accuracy to say.

for once i agree with Blueskies... but only because his mom told me i had to, otherwise she wouldn't come visit me again!

He once flew the T/O on mediums from a paved 5000ft strip to a gravel 5500 ft strip and he calls that offstrip work. LOL !!!

he has a group of qualified individuals doing the check outs. The last Northeren chief piolt did not check anybody out on 185's, beavers, turbo beavers, turbo otters, navajos, king airs, 310's or twin otters(all captians had been checked out).

as far as the strips that he's flown off of, like all other T/O captains hes left part of his a/c behind. unlike most other T/O incedents for a few thousand dollars the wing was fine.

I just don't know who he thinks he's going to hire on the T/O to fly out of stoney for 3 weeks at a time for 60000/year
