Citation III

Post by pitot »

I've got some friends looking into a III. I've heard from some people that they are not very maintenance friendly, the usual for every hour flown 2 hours maintenance kind of comments. Anyone here ever flown one? Believe there looking at one of the later models 90 or 91. If so what are they like? thanks

Lots of early maintenance issues. Most have been resolved but it has to be the most S/B'd type I have ever flown.

It is an old mans airplane. Easy to fly, goes fast when needed and the landings make the worst effort seem great.

Runway performance isn't so good especially hot and high but overall, an adequate aircraft.

I only have 2500 hours in them and have forgotten all but a few so it couldn't have been that bad.
