Medical notification

I interviewed in mid June. Still no reply.

How are you notified for the medical if you pass this first step? Is it by phone, e-mail or letter?

I got a call saying I was through and given a GS date (conditional on medical) as well as a choice of dates for the medical. Timing wise this was just under four weeks after my interview. This is for AC BTW. Good luck!

Highlander,

I wouldn't worry to much about it (I know its tough). Rumour has it there are no courses in August so things might take a little longer. It's summer time and a lot of people are probably on holidays.

When I interviewed they said no matter what 6-8 weeks and I would have an answer either way. They said on week 8 if I hadn't heard to call the administrator who coordinated my interview.

I interviewed late May. Also I was told no courses in August because of vacations and holidays so it might take longer to hear back so I wouldn't sweat it. I know it is important but don't let the wait take away from you enjoying the nice summer. Life is too short! Cheers!!!

On a side note-

Acinterviewee- How did you find the interview?

Cognitive test? I know I personally screwed up near the end? Not sure if most people do? How did you find it? The teeter totter gave me some grief initially as did those damn arrows and the different rules

Psych tests- obviously honesty is the best policy.

I found in the test that they expect you to screw up, and mesure how fast you can recover and surf again.... like we always do...so keep cool, take it easy and do what you can......

I wouldn't worry too much about the cog test. I too felt somewhat unsure about my performance and I believe the biggest reason for this is that there is no way of knowing how you did, especially relative to others. Almost everyone it seems has been concerned to some degree or other. Remember the cog test is only one part of the entire process. Even if one was to perform questionably here, it can be offset by better performance in other areas such as the interview.
I know the hardest part is the wait, but like I said before, don't let that take away from enjoying your summer. Go grab a beer right now and sit out by the pool - if you are on a day off of course.
