Traffic rises at WestJet, Air Canada, Jazz in June

Passenger numbers at WestJet Airlines Ltd. rose for a sixth straight month in June and Air Canada's load factor matched a company record as both carriers added capacity, they said yesterday.
WestJet said its planes flew 79.9 per cent full, up 2.8 percentage points from June, 2006.
Air Canada said its mainline load factor was flat at 83.4 per cent last month, matching the record it set in June, 2006.
Air Canada's six-month load factor was 82.2 per cent, an increase of 1 percentage point from last year.
Planes at Air Canada Jazz flew at 76.6 per cent of capacity in June, up 2.8 per cent from 2006.
