This last winter my capt pay on a B200 got a raise to 70K per anum. Salary really has to be put in context though with where you are earning it. If you are makin 45K in a large city like Calgary or Vancouver you are in the poor house. That same cash will of course go a lot further in other places. For me, I was in a reasonably priced rural location so I was very happy with the 70K.

North Cariboo (Calgary base) = $46,000 + per diems
Dynamic was offering = $39,600 + meals away from base paid for
BarXH = $40, 000 + per diem and $100 per medevac. (BE20)

i started at 18k as f/o on a 100 last year
does it hurt when u bend over?
i guess it's a good thing your mom doesn't charge too much! i've since moved on, and i think the starting salary for F/Os there now is around 22k... which still sucks, but hey! who doesn't LOVE kraft dinner?!
well u have no one to blame for yourself for making so little, goes for anyone actually. Btw my mom says good luck with the clapp, best check that out, next time pay a lil more for quality, like your next ppc dumbass
sorry, i didn't think i was in a position to pick and choose jobs when i was 19 and had 170 hours (love the glider time towards the CPL).
i don't see how it makes me a dumbass to take a flying job for 18k versus taking a ramp job making that or less, as everyone else i know did. maybe i am a dumbass, but maybe i'll be your captain someday, and ten years younger than you, ever think of that?

My how soon we all forget about the job market of a few years ago, newly minted CPL and App Flap gets a cojo job on a King Air. I dont think anyone of us would have turned that down back then or even a noob now. Hell I flew a 207 for $50 bucks a day flat rate working 14 hours a day when I was a noob, and that was living next to a pricey ski Resort town.
I do love the taste of Kraft Dinner. I can now afford all kinds of exotic Ketchups and Hotdogs
We all got to get our start somewhere, some are just a little luckier than others.
Seems like a few years ago, three lunar landings and x-ray vision couldn't get you a right seat job on a King Air even if you paid for the privelege of doing so

Some places are still having you put money up front for KA training...
