So really, how is the old night freight going ? 12 SDO's eh..

It makes me laugh when your flights come in past 6am and it's still considered an SDO. How about your days off recovering from 12-14 hour flights that had you hitting the pillow at 10 or 11 am.

Sorry if I sound a tad bitter but I remember that old shite from the CJT office. I love how your good/SAFE for 14 maybe 17 hours, starting at midnight or so... GOD SOMEONE GIVE THEIR HEAD A SHAKE ! From the sounds of it this is becoming the norm, just so that they can make a months sched. You think things will change ? I can't wait to see how they crew these new A/C, considering they can't crew what they already have. I really wonder how Transport really feels about the musical seats program they run and how it WILL be run. Makes an amusing flight deck at times but talk about safe..... But hey it's all legal !

12 SDO's is nice.

Coming in past 6am you are working your SDO and are paid accordingly.

Yes we do fly at night, and rarely work a 12 or 14 hour duty day, it is our responsibility to come to work rested. You do know a month or so in advance when you will be working so most people seem to find time to get a nap in and come to work rested.

Many people at many companies fly in several seats in several different aircraft types, all at the same time. Is it really that difficult to go from the right seat to the back seat on the same aircraft type occasionally given that you are given recurrent simulator training and line checks as normal.

Thanks for being concerned about us, but we are doing quite well thank you!!

You can fly a radial farther than you can ship a Merlin.

So what is a typical schedule like...single - multi-day pairings? How many legs a day? Hours a day? What is pay scale like? PM me if it's easier to answer.

Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.
