Logging time.

Post by Cat Driver »

If you were abducted by space aleins and travelled to a far galaxy and back and they let you sit behind the controls, how would you log it?

It is not cross country or local so what would you log?

And would TC let you use it towards a higher license?

I would log it as dual, instrument, night and cross country time.

If the little red man put his fingerprint in my logbook, it would count, no?

Hello, Cat...

The answer is, you can log anything you want in you log book. If you wish to keep track of how many times you use the in-flight washroom facilities, feel free.

It is not a requirement, of course. Well, at least not at the present time.

The requirements for logging of flight time can be found in CARS 401.08 here: http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/Regse ... htm#401_08

As far as the alien flight time is concerend, you can log it, but you cannot use it towards a higher licence unless that civilization/planet is recognized by ICAO.

I hope this helps!

You won't need a higher licence once you sell all the pictures you took of the aliens and their planet

Is ICAO recognized by other planets?

Let me check with my therapist first.

I would stay on the other planet if I were you. If you confess to cavorting with aliens, they might dissect you

That would be a question to ask your alien friends. I am just a grunt... they don't include me in their interplanetary discussions.

Sorry Cat, you can't count that towards your recency time unless you did 5 touch and goes while at the controls!

Glad to hear that the Cub is close enough to completion that you have to get recurrent!
