The North Pole.
I read where the Russians have put a Russian flag in a stainless steel and titanium capsule and had some mini-subs drop it off at the North Pole, therefore claiming sovereignty over the area, including all the natural resources
I believe that if depositing a flag in the ocean is all that is required to claim it as yours, then Canada was first.
I believe Borek Air sunk a Twin Otter (accidentally) at the North Pole and since all Borek Air airplanes have a Canadian flag on the tail, they were the first. WALLA!!!
I Think???
Maybe someone should mention that fact to S. Harper!!!

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Siddley Hawker has a great idea, except we should take one of those submarines, paint a great honking big Canadian and Alberta flag on both sides and sink that sucker on top of the Ruskie flag. Drive the damn thing deep into the friggen mud.

Those ones don't work, I think we would have to take one out of West Edmonton Mall and then head that way...Siddley Hawker wrote:I think we should take one of the submarines we got from Honest Nigel's Used Submarine Emporium, go to the North Pole and retrieve the Russki flag.

KBO was the registration of the Twotter that sunk at the pole. The joke was that it stood for Kenn Borek Oceanography. I have two pictures of that accident. One taken after landing when the starboard main punched through the ice. The fuselage torqued and they were only able to open the f/o's door to get everyone out. The second picture shows the top of the wing and the complete tail over ice. Everything else was submerged.
The pictures are in an album of arctic pictures taken 25 years ago. The album is in storage under all kinds of boxes.

"The incident is doubly embarrassing for the agency since it follows a case in August last year in which it published an image by a freelancer of Israeli bombings in Lebanon that had been dramatised using photo manipulation, with the addition of smoke rising from allegedly burning buildings."Siddley Hawker wrote:Kinda makes ya wonder if Ivan really went there.![]()

WTF, how can anyone ever trust the media after seeing crap like this? Also, I think it would be funny if James Cameron sued for plagiarism.

Having a standard that pilots lose their licence after making a mistake despite doing no harm to aircraft or passengers means soon you needn't worry about a pilot surplus or pilots offering to fly for free. Where do you get your experience from?
