ATC Streaming Audio

Post by dhc-t2 »

Does anyone have or know of any good links to live ATC streaming audio. I assume that some of the larger ones would have such a thing?

Have a listen to NY Tracon sometime during their "rush Hour"

Count how many times you can hear the controller take a breath

You can also get an IFR traffic overlay for Google Earth that displays the flight number and operator of the A/C. There is a bit of a delay, but you can listen to the ATC conversation and watch the traffic at the same time.

It's been a while, but I will post the link when I find it.

There are a few of the US major airports in there (7 I think).

Thanks all for the links & info :) Listened to ATC in Toronto. Geez, these people sure keep busy keeping all the traffic in line. I'd imagine after a shift of rattling off ATC talk all day a bit peace & quiet would be welcome. I wonder how long is a typical shift for ATC in a place like Toronto?

It's company standard wide for IFR controllers far as I know.

8 hours and 28 minutes.
