It was just announced that Purolator has renewed its contract with Kelowna Flightcraft. The current contract expires in 2009, and the renewal takes it to 2014, with an option to extend to 2019.
You heard it here first.

Barry on the board doesn't make it a sure-thing; it certainly doesn't hurt, though.
The rest of the board can always vote him down.

Sure, having BL on the board may help but having a staff that works on maintaining a 98.8% reliability rate may have a little to do with it too.

Something tells me if they based their "on-time" performance on "did it leave within an hour of sched" like another place I know of, having Barry at the table wouldn't have really helped a whole lot. Not to mention things these days simply boil down to dollars and cents.
I know a few ppl at KF and they bust their ass every night to ensure the job gets done safely and on time.
Congrats to them all.

It's nice to see that all that effort and results from the KF people is recognized and valued above the lowest bidder.

Shoud be interesting to see if KFC adds any new iron to the fleet... one of the things that Purolator was interested in with Cargojet was the 757...
Anyways congrats to the KFC crew, gauranteed employment for many years to come!!
