Erm, blakey that story's about a cessna not a PC-12, and it sounded like more damage than a wingtip clipping a fence (which I doubt would get reported anywhere).

I still want to know how he can post this but justify calling me a jackass in my Airplane Go Boom thread.

But is that fair to those who take aviation seriously and like to discuss issues such as this intelligently?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Give it a couple years, he'll get on with Transport, and the promotions will follow quickly. Is Director General out of the question? I think not.

Okay I'll buy that it could happen to anyone...but it really shouldn't should it?
The company I used to work for had a rampie marshall them straight into an ambulance with their wing tip. Now that really shouldn't happen. Three sets of eyes are better than two right?
If it happened on an icy ramp I'll by that "could have happened to anyone" excuse, but it should never happen to anyone, especially in a 2 pilot environment.
Oh well, they'll probably never do that again.

Tofu has pissed off just about everyone around here, but I have to admit that when it's not me, it's pretty funny.... Besides, what else would we have to do if he went away???
I know, I know. It's like encouraging the little shithead who sits at the back of the class, but I guess this is why I'm not a parent....

Oh. I had no idea nobody liked tofu. Well except the fact that it has no taste at all it's really not that bad in stir fries and stuff. It's even okay on pizza. It kind of just takes on the taste of whatever you cook it with.

no one was hurt and I'd be willing to bet the fence didn't move, so chances are it was avoidable
Pretty sure the day I bend metal if no ones hurt it will be up here.
There was probably a fat co-pilot blocking his view.
I'm sure there are no co-pilots working 703 ops that can afford to eat so I doubt that was the case.

No one was hurt so that makes it OK to slag the crew? Your right about one thing, if you screwed up there are a few among us who, like you, would take great pleasure out of berating you. However, the vast majority on this board make attempts to support our fellow aviators. Only the lowest scum resort to posts like yours.
