Gentlemen,
I am an AME @ Aries. I have been with them for over a month now and can give you some details. I have found Aries very easy to work for. They pay well, provide advance expenses for your field work and treat you with respect.
Essentially your job is to work one month on, one off keeping the aircraft flying. You are provided with lodging and a rental vehicle to share with the pilot.
There is a real oppurtunity here to see lots of North America and the world. At the moment we have an aircraft in BC, one in AB and one in Turkey.
Good luck!

I work with a guy that did it, and got out within 3 months. The pay is on par with most operators in Canada (per diems included) plus you get to spend a month at a time away from home. He had good things to say about the folks he worked with, it just didn't jive with his home life.
aries
Hey all, I was a mechanic for aries for four years. They are a great company, pay is decent, they treat you excellent, better than any company i have seen. They don't question the parts you order from the field, and they really give you the room to do your job with minimal office interference. The only down side is that the schedule is pretty loose, they try do do basically month on month off, but it doesn't always work out, the company is just too small and the work a little unsteady to stick to that. But no worries about being laid off during those times, they seem to staff the company so that lay offs don't happen. I would highly recomend this company for anyone who want's to work independantly and see many different places. Why did i quite? I wanted a life...........
