Could any of you guys give me a tip on what was in the interview .
What are they looking for ?
If you are doing these psycological tests or psycometric.
Or how to prepare for it ?
Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you score very high on all segments: initial selection / interview / cog / three psyc tests and hiring board assessment, then your standing in the pool will reflect your call or more importantly how fast you receive it. Remember your number in the pool is also dependent on those in the pool as well. As more and more candidates are tested and if one has a relatively low score but high enough to avoid receiving a letter then your stay in the pool may be longer than your buddy that completed everything on the same day but whose scores were higher.
Ok, so we understand that if a score is low and considered below standard then a letter will be issued immediately. Also if your score is low and the pool has weaker scores then you might remain in the pool for awhile and finally get a call. But if the pool fill with stronger candidates with higher scores you might find yourself in the pool for a little while then receive a letter. And that is why you might find the letter saying to reapply in six months.

"There will be a total of 4 more courses this year (1 per month). they will also cease interviewing new pilots at the end of September as they have adequate candidates processed and waiting. He anticipated that interviews would commence again this spring."
Hot off the presses.

I quote the quote. This might help you.. My cousin's Sim was pushed up to latter Oct. and into November. Since a Sim. went u/s. that could account for the backlog training into November.
What does it mean to pre-board? Do you get on before you get on?

Hi all,
Just received a letter from AC saying that I have passed the interview/psych portions of the hiring process and that I am a 'competetive candidate'. The letter also said that I would be further considered for positions as they become available, pending a medical and references check.
This doesn't seem like a job offer, but it's no PFO either. Anyone else have a similar letter? Does this usually result in an offer of employment?
Interested to hear what people think!
Cheers..

Anyways: That's the most recent letter going out to successful candidates these days. They only have ground school dates out until the end of the year, and these have all been filled. As they continue to interview people and find successful candidates they don't have classes to put them into, so instead they give you conformation saying you've made it, but we don't have anything for you now.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.

ok so the question is :::::when did you interview????
To all these guys who just had good news but no date yet when did you interview?
Thanks for the info endless! It's been a long wait, so this is a welcomed letter. My heart sank when I first saw the envelope. My impression was that they only sent PFOs in the mail!
Just to clarify though, as this doesn't appear to be an offer; does this mean that those who received it are back in the pool? Can they be bumped out by other more 'competitive' candidates? Or does this mean that those with the letter have been selected and are simply awaiting a course date (provided their medical and references check out)?
Congrats to everyone else who found this letter in their mailbox!

anyways: I don't work for AC HR and what I'm telling you is at best a semi educated guess. However I believe that once you've been placed into what's become a pool you should be picked up when courses become available in the new year. I can't imagine that they'd send a success letter and then follow it up with a no thanks one. I would guess that you interviewed sometime in very late june or sometime in July? A few of my friends who interviewed in that time frame got your version of the letter.
That makes sense, and this definitely feels like a step in the right direction. Until the official offer is in hand though, I suppose it would be prudent to avoid jumping to conclusions.
Either way, will be interesting to see how this plays out - hopefully the hiring keeps up!
GreenGuy61 - interview was in the last week of June. Are you with PAG?
