I heard he's a shareholder, and financed the startup of

http://www.spicejet.com

But hell, it's all rumours. Anyone got tabs on him?

I thought Spicejet would have been run by 4 women with very little talent!

PS I am still searching for the 5th spice girl if anyone knows of her where abouts....she goes by the name of sluttyspice!

I don't suppose most people would. Unless of course, it was the type of person that lied in order to get a fleet of aircraft moved away from the hands of those who would seize them (legitimately), thereby guaranteeing their personal fortune while screwing dozens of creditors and hundreds of staff, including pilots with 5 digit bonds.

In that case, I'd probably make an exception.

I'd make an exception too. If I remember correctly, the F100 pilots were told to fly them back to Quebec City for an emergency AD the night the hammer fell. All flight attendants were left behind to find there own way home @ their own expense. Funny, the MD's were all left wherever they happened to be as they were all leased. The Fokker's were owned by the slimeball. I take it the pilot's have not seen a cent of their bonds reimbursed, as well as severance (pay in lieu of notice) for all other employees. Not to mention all the overtime sheets that went in the garbage. There has been no information posted on the RSM Richter website (bankruptcy trustee) for over 2 years.

MLB does not use his own money to make things happen so I doubt he was behind it.

Yep was working the ramp that night, I passed the message directly to the Captain on the overnight arrival, my first thought to that was "JetsGo is gone"

I was told he was a background start-up investor, so what if any employees of SpiceJet would know of him would be quite limited.

Interesting though, mind sharing what you did?

Just think about where aviation in Canada would be today if he were to succeed. Good riddance! It should hold off the state aviation in other places coming to Canada for a few more years, anyways...

best birthday present ever. March 11th. Westjet and AC boomed after that. Was good for the industry. Goes to show that you can't fly across the country for a buck  no offense, but that is what you get when you out of pocket your training. Hope all involved learned there lesson.

Anyway, it always comes back to one thing....People need to fly, airline goes under, another picks up the pax and routes. It is a constant that will not change.....like gravity :)

There were a few Canadians associated with the startup, but Michel was not one of them.
