Hmm, just a q about the mins. the website says 500 total, 250 pic, and a
float rating. I've been applying, but no calls back (650 TT, 480PIC +
Float rating). what experience level are FO's when they usually hire them
on? am i way out of line when it comes to flight time other applicants are
offering? does northern flying time help to get to the maldives?

I think borek would be a great place to work for (if i can get in first of all),
so if anyone can provide additional info on how to make my resume shine
a bit more please let me know(knock on their door in calgary? win the
citizen of the year award? more flight time is of course a given).
Thanks in advance for everyone's help, I'll keep my chins up and
continue to apply.

I wouldn't worry about it. I"ve applied with several thousand hours TT, twice, and not even a response. All off strip bush work, so they can't be too short of crew

Actually, there will be 24 KBA Twin Otters on floats operating in the Maldives for Air Taxi alone, come November - December. They need crews, crews come and go. That doesn't account for any of the other machines operating worldwide on various seasonal and non-seasonal contracts. I admit, a resume alone prolly won't do it for anyone, but throw in some ingenious scheme with your CV and keep trying. Twin Otters are fan-f'ing-tastic. Twins on floats in a tropical setting with the always changing water and tides is heaven. Good times. Good luck!

I think i'm about to run out of different ways to write a CV other than "i'd like to keep my application active, and i'm still flying the same thing with the same company blah blah blah". maybe one letter every 2 weeks is overkill? opinions, suggestions, insults anyone?
keep trying perhaps?

A buddy of mine pasted (sp?) a 60 pounder of Crown Royal with his resume and sent it into the CP. He got a call a week later to go fly Otters.

WWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Have you tried that?

You don't need either at all. Im sure its preferred but....absolutely not, and you can still get on with low low hours.
Keep applying every 6 months or so. I think Sean MUST know my name by now, and I thought I had a creative way of Applying.... !!
