Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.

XS,

Its a SkyDiver's altimeter. They usually wear it on their wrist. Don't really know why he has it installed there...

THEICEMAN,

You and I have a different definition of.......

In my book, your video was  at best.

Here is how you really drop divers from a PC6....

Before I get my head chewed, I am not saying this is a safe method of doing this, simply saying this is

Cheers,

I wouldn't know if that is safe or not ... but he seems to know exactly what he is doing. Great vid.

Thanks for that info on the gauge, Fouga.

I can't see that there's anything wrong with the descent in the Porter, just to close to the droppers for my liking.

Don't know why they're smiling with those tiddly little parachutes!

So, do they routinely spin the jumper-dumper in order to get down faster?

Or is that some kind of beta descent?

To the best of my knowledge, the PC6 is capable of Beta in flight. This "method" of descent is fairly common in the SkyDiving world. The first time I saw this "method" was in the late 80s. Actually saw this once from up close - not as close at in the vid... - but still very impressive to see the airplane fly underneath you when in free fall.
