Trans-Maldivian Job ad....

Post by Northern Skies »

In the ad they distinguished between junior and senior FO's. 250 and 1500 hour requirements. Once within the company, what is the difference in job and compensation between these two positions?

Yes junior F/O's fly every second leg the same as senor F/O's. Whether you are junior or senior depends on your hours. A junior F/O is someone right out of flight school with a 250 hour commercial, floats, multi/IFR. These positions are pretty much reserved for Maldivian Nationals. Don't know of any expats hired with these few hours. A junior F/O gets to the next pay level at 750 hours then again at 1500 hours I believe. You must have a minimum of 2500 hours before you will be considered for an upgrade to the left seat. Hope this helps!!
