This thread goes out to the Beech 1900 driver in Norman Wells today.
-First if a Cessna 207 is coming in special VFR you can wait a few minutes before departing IFR. The weather was bad enough for him to have to request it, don’t make his life even more difficult.
-Second even if you are an “old bush pilot” as you let everybody on the frequency know I have never heard of anybody requesting to taxi out onto a live runway and wait at the opposite end for the other aircraft to land to save yourself two minutes. It is also not legal as FSS pointed out.
-Third if you are not allowed to do as the said above don’t swear on the radio as you did. You sounded like a buffoon and did not do your company any justice.

I don't think that flight safety actually has anyone on the Be02 sim that actually currently flies it. They have one guy that used to fly it from the right seat and does contract instruction on it. Most of the larger companies bring their own sim instructors to the sim so they can get a better price and people more fluent with the company SOP's.
