hihi~~ dear all! I am new here. I just feel strange with the aviation industry.

Now all most all the airlines employ pilot depend on your flight experience & degree etc. take a example, many airlines now is recruiting A320 contract pilot. Their minimum requirement: Need to be current on type rating & 300-500hours on type for first officer.

Oh, god, I can finance the A320 type rating in flight school. But… Where to get 300hours on type? To rent a A320?? How to??

Till the opportunity come, I have already old and mean no opportunity for me.

So do you guys feel strange, how do you handle it?

And now I am learning in an Aviation management degree program. After that I will also got the CPL etc. how do you think about the first job for a 240hours new pilot?

Sorry about that, I want to know the average age for us to be employ by an major airline?

haha~~thank you very much! I hope you all like it, and we just discuss about it…have fun here…

Age plays a big factor in this industry. What company wants to spend X#of $ to train a guy who will, or has to retire in 5 or 10 years? I belive young blood in this industry is what the big players want. Train a guy for, maybe 50k+, and he stays for 20-30 years? They make their $$$$ back and then some.
Good luck, maybe a CFI position at a flight school maybe what u want to look at. I hear some are paying very well these days. That also means that u ain;'t doin much flying. :(
Cheers
